I have just installed Edenite with the quick start package. The only changes I have made are that I have installed Norwegian language and added the component “feed2Post 2.0” (native Joomla 1.5.x edition).

My problem is that all the beautiful typography alternatives is not showing in the standard editor like it usually does. Only two styles are visible in the scroll down menu: caption and system-pagebreak.

I found the solution in the plug-in manager under TinyMCE 2.0. The editor searches for a file named editor.css. If it does not find it in the template it uses a default file. What I did, was that I copied the css-file containing the the typography in the template folder and renamed it editor.css.

It seems that it should always be a editor.css file in a 1.5 template if you want the styles to show up in the editor. That might be something to think about in future releases and is something that should be added to the current ones.

I noticed I already have an editor.css and typo.css file in the css directory. Do I overwrite those files?

The other reason can be the PERMISSIONS issue. Even if your file is there, the permission of the file can prevent it from being called..

Open Extensions>Plugin manager>Editor: TinyMCE> goto Plugin Parmerers and enter the full URL of your .css in the box marked Custom CSS classes:

Note this will not display the images from your css in the editor but it will load all your css styles in the styles dropdown box.

You may want to take a look at the JCEditor free extension. It’s much better than Tiny.
