    Hi there,

I currently move my site to a hosting machine with Akeeba backup/restore tool and the JA Thumbnail suddenly doesn’t work any more, which worked in my local XAMPP site.
The thumbnail just doesn’t work for the whole site articles and blog layouts.
I used “read more Ext” to auto-generate the article hyperline for the thumbnail image. Should not be a problem I guess…:((

How I check if the plug-in works:
    1. make sure the thumbnail plugin is enabled
    2. open a featured article in frontend which has images and should have thumbnail generated
    3. open the same featured article in backend and check the editor (I used JCE) can open it correctly. Save-close.
    4. refresh the frontend article to see if there is thumbnail and lightbox.

    I tried several things:
    1. change image folder permission to 777, but nothing happens. FAIL and the whole image displays in the article
    2. re-install the JA Thumbnail plugin. FAIL too.
    3. Check the plug-in settings over and over again. Still FAILs.

I am fine if you want the backend admin account.

    Thanks! 🙂

    Hi christsai

You need to increase the directive upload_max_filesize that now is on 2MB

Look at the extension manager –> Warnings you can look here or ask to your hosting provider to do it for you .

    Hi Pavit,
    Thanks for your help!

I’ve increase the limit to 16MB and the warning is gone. But JA Thumbnail still doesn’t work.
Maybe I should do more stuff?

Could you please check this further?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi christsay

    1) The plugin Content – ReadMoreExt if enabled generate errors on media manager for some conflict i have disabled it and now media manager is working correctly

    2) Your Jce Editor clean all html code so the code resulted was invalid i have disabled the Cleanup HTML on Global configuration of the Component

    3) Your path to images was wrong, For Example in your articles you have src=”imagesarticlesSuccessGraph.jpg

the correct format must be src=”images/articles/SuccessGraph.jpg so you need to fix all paths in your articles

    Thanks Pavit!

With your help I finally fixed the page I mentioned in the first post! 😀
Now I think it is time to get more ready and I am going to nail really down to see if it can still work with ReadMoreExt enabled. 🙂

Thanks! I’ll keep you posted if any more problem happens.

    Final solution:
    1. changing all the path ” to ‘/’
    2. disable JCE “clean HTML”

ReadMoreExt is still enabled although there are issues there but I need that feature… But this seems not the root cause.
I am thinking the root cause is ” in the image path. I used XAMPP previously which worked in Windows OS.

    GLAD to solve this!:D

BTW, the support is very responsive and FAST! COOL!
