    Hi @timtecsa,

    I checked the site but didn’t see any change in the file mentioned above, so I updated file /httpdocs/mt5/libraries/legacy/view/categoryfeed.php and you can see the title in feed now.

    As mentioned above, because if there’s any problem during the investigation process, we cannot track who made the change so basically, we will only provide limited support for such case due to security reason.

    @victortopper,

    I see that you can submit thread to our forum without any problem so I also need your confirmation here.

    Thanks, I’ll test again. The edit which I had put in was wiped when a restore via plesk was undertaken inadvertently.

    @Adam M See; http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://mt5p.mwinda.org/74-actualites-a-la-une/actualites?format=feed&type=rss

    This is from yet another small test site: http://mt5p.mwinda.org/74-actualites-a-la-une/actualites

    I have edited the categoryfeed.php as suggested, but no titles visible on Feedly. Also the article view image does not come up on the article page although it’s set in the Images and Links tab.

    What am I missing?

    Tim

    BTW I am, as usual, using varoius J2XML plugins to import articles and images.

    Hi @timtecsa,

    I checked your feed and see that the title display there without any problem. So if Feedly cannot recognize it, please kindly contact Feedly technical support for better assistance instead.

    Hi @Adam M ,

    You are right. The titles appeared after I removed an ‘interim category’ The category structure was like this.

    now and originally on Teline IV site

    Removing the ‘Actualities a la Une’ category seems to enable the titles but there are no images in Feedly. On the T4 site the lack of titles in Feedly can be seen here. http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://mwinda.org/fr/actualites/actualites-a-la-une/actualites?format=feed&type=rss Few images too. Also, although I have installed a syndication module on the T4 site it doesn’t appear on front end.

    On the small Teline V test site (http://mt5p.mwinda.org/) the images are in images/stories/bonana except for 2 in images/j2xml You might also notice that the full article image does not appear on the full article ?? I’m not at all sure how to relate the settings for Generated Images Folder here:
    when source images are actually in different folders depending on how they were uploaded. Any advice on correct set up would be most welcome. The images here http://mt5p.mwinda.org/ are coming from/jact but not here http://mt5.mwinda.org/actualites/106-actualites ?? Only seems to work on homepage.

    Tim

    But here Feedly displays most, but not all, titles but only a few images. Baffling 🙁
    http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://mt5.mwinda.org/actualites/106-actualites?format=feed&type=rss

    And here on one of my T4 sites http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://news-sgi.globalprintmonitor.org/en/advertorial?format=feed&type=rss Impeccable.

    Hi @timtecsa,

    Actually the function to generate feed should work fine without any problem in JA Teline V, you can check any page in demo site, for example this one, just add the suffix ?format=feed&type=rss right after site url and you will see it.

    From the beginning, there must be an incorrect configuration with RSS feed (or there’s a problem with your Joomla! / server configuration) so the xml file is not parsed correctly and I tweak the code a little bit as you can see.

    About the image, by default Joomla! doesn’t support to display image in RSS feed, so you might have to pick another extension from 3rd party to achieve your goal.

    Last thing is the Auto generate image function. It’s a special feature from JA Teline V, we provide that function in T3 framework to automatically generate thumbnail for article and it would greatly reduce site response time, it’s for increasing performance purpose.

    @Adam What did you ‘tweak’ in xml code? In which site?

    This Teline V site displays all images in Feedly. http://tidningenkulturen.se/index.php/nyheter/inrikes
    http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://tidningenkulturen.se/index.php/nyheter/inrikes?format=feed&type=rss

    Teline V demo site does not show images in Feedly.

    What is the difference?

    Hi @timtecsa,

    As you can see in the code, we changed from $titleField to get value from $item->title instead. The fact is we won’t dig into your Joomla! site to figure out why the variable $titleField was not parsed correctly (it’s related to your configuration or with your Joomla! code, the original one work fine) but use the variable $item->title.

    If the problem is related to template code, we can guarantee that we will fix it completely. For other cases, we can only do our best to assist you, for example the function to generate feed is not controlled by the template but Joomla! itself, so it’s beyond our support scope.
