Considering the components and versions of Joomla, Ja Social, and Jomsocial, will my site be able to handle Mootools and not conflict with any of the Jquery?

    Thanks!

    Greetings:

While our JA Development Team always endeavors to thoroughly test each template for compatibility with various components, plugins and javascript, the fact of the matter is that there is no way to “guarantee” that there may or may not be a potential conflict with a given 3rd Party element. Further, we do not provide support for the JomSocial component itself, – as this is a separate proprietary 3rd Party component.

It also very much has to do with the particular modifications one makes within one’s particular site structure – depending on one’s particular needs for that site.

    Make sense ??

    Hi
Javascript conflict between Mootools / jQuery is long story also in Joomla. We can’t say absolute sure a solution for this. It must be depends on which thing installed on your site and specially with javascript compress method.
    By myself i’ve some suggest:
    – Make sure no 3rd extensions / template using jQuery by use YSlow addon of Firebugs for check / remove
    – Put jQuery at top of <head> tag and use jQuery.noConflict right after included jQuery

    It’s manually work 😉
    Thank you
