I have a news site running on Teline iv successfully, and thanks to JA for the great work with teline.
To help my clients more i wish to have a windows 8 application and Android application.
I need a suggestion on as to how should i fetch the data from my site as there are both restricted section (requiring login) on my site as well as open sections (no login required).
I only have info that such aaps fetch data though RSS. Are there any other option like XML or direct data access just or any thing else and which would be better.

JA Teline is just a template with many extensions to provide the news site feature. What you need is an app to make joomla work in android and windows app. I am sure it would be more of a custom work. Let us know incase you find anything interesting, will be of help to other members here.

I had already seen http://www.joomla6teen.com/Build-Android-app-for-Joomla-Website.html but din’t find exactly what i was looking for.
http://www.joooid.com/ is just a client to do joomla stuff via phone.

Surely i’ll update this thread as soon as i get something related.
