July 11, 2007 at 5:44 am #223980The problem is not the chmod but the ownership of the files. You need to make sure your files are set with the correct ownership. Usually an e-mail to your host will solve this quickly as they know exactly what to do. If you are hosting yourself, you need to set the ownership to your username. Usually, when uploading templates, components and so on it can happen that the ownership is set to “nobody/nobody”. This needs to be set to your username.
Hope this helps.
