At this time, JA Opal is compatible with Joomla 1.5.

I am unaware as to whether there are any plans to update this particular template for later versions of Joomla.
I will, however, forward the question onto the JA Development Team for further comment.

JA Opal is available for J1.5. I am afraid we have no plan to upgrade it to later versions of Joomla.
