I totally agree with the last post here, it is quality and not quantity that we all care about. To be fair. the support team have been fantastic and other members support has been great… I wish it was a members choice to say what the next template needs to have or be.
Any way I’ve said enough on this issue….;)

Then i request a template that have no bugs..
Its soon summer vacation and when that is i suggest Joomlart deliver one template in july, and use that time to clean up the bugs on the allready downloadable templates.

I found the Kulanite as a great template, no fancy things, clean etc etc. But i don’t need nr 2 of it.

June 23, 2008 at 9:08 pm #255642i think if they could do 1 whiz-bang template and then 1 business geared (read simpler) template, I think I would enjoy it more. Right now it seems ho-hum for everything.

June 23, 2008 at 10:51 pm #255673As with everyone else, I really must agree.
Over the last couple of months, templates seem to be OK, not too bad, I’m sure they’d have their use in certain sites, but nothing for me that would look amazing.
My main problem so far is the Sources that get released with templates, I’m really really disappointed with the sources given. I downloaded the last set, and it was virtually just an entire bitmap on a layer and it had no area where the slices were or nothing.
If you check out one of the competitors, and see their source file, it’s amazing.
Every single shape is individually changed, can click through all the color schemes, you change a couple of colors in gradients, and then it’s all pre-sliced, right click and export that section straight out with the right filename and everything. It’s far more flexible.
That’s my 2c anyway.

June 26, 2008 at 11:27 pm #256503why do we keep getting at the poor developer support in template threads where new clients cannot see them.
I believe that Customer Testimonials is open to unregistered viewers and that is where these threads should be posted – to make new clients understand that there is a clear lack of interest from the JA owners to do right by their paying clients and MAYBE then, they’ll listen to their clients.
I like Kulanite because it is a clear imitation of cnet.com which is a good thing if you want to run a review/technical web site but as usual it comes with few template positions, few colors and the ones included are just h1 tag different colors more or less.
When I joined there was quality, thoughts and interest in the templates and they were great for their time, unlike todays templates which are mostly dated and buggy.
I still find it funny how they brag on the front page how many clients they have (let’s forget about the satisfied part) – but that number alone should be enough to pay for additional PAID developers for template creation and bug fixing.
I have said the above before, so have others, countless others and all that is going to happen is that a moderator will say that its an old topic.
Well, it might be, but where is the change from the hordes of unsatisfied clients?

ps: post your complaints about JA in the customer testimonials – where new people can read them (I logged out and checked – unregistered users can read threads there).

June 26, 2008 at 11:57 pm #256508oh… reading a few other Joomla template forums, I noticed one thing.
When there was a complaint (valid or otherwise), these concerns were quickly acknowledged and there appears to be a genuine interest in correcting whatever might have been wrong.
With JA Forums it is the complete opposite – either it is totally ignored or the poster is jumped on by moderators or overzellous clients.
Let’s face it – bottom line is – when you pay for something you expect quality (JA is not cheap) both in the template designs and support such as bug squashing. JA has been lacking at both for a very long time.
I think I will write a personal article @ Joomla Views just describing the lack of confidence in joomlart in general by its customers. PM me if you have any thoughts about that.

June 27, 2008 at 10:47 am #256681Very valid points you’ve mentioned, I hope the Joomlart developers take all that into account…
Ara you listening to us……:-[ we are yet to hear their view on this…

June 27, 2008 at 11:56 am #256693I would assume they are lurking about but careful to say anything in order not to commit themselves to something they have no intentions of following through.
and if they have not read this then the moderators are doing a poor job at informing them of the status of the forum, but I doubt that is the case.
Hung – do you have any comments to this or any other similar threads?

June 27, 2008 at 12:54 pm #256713Agreed Menalto – the thing is that these very same comments and thoughts and concerns have been voiced for the better part of this year into last year and they are just getting stronger and louder and no changes have been made.
Sure changes have been made here and there but the relaxed (who cares) attitude of the developers still persists.
I did a break down on what JoomlArt by their own stats are making – check out the thread at: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/k2-theme-for-ja-blazes/
They made $90k in the last 30 days as of 12:21 Jun 27, 2008 GMT.
That should put an end to that they do not have enough money to do their clients right and hire enough man power to create, fix and package the template correctly. IMHO!
