Basically I would like to have little images as my titles, like it does in the demo.

The demo has images for HTC Touch, iPhone, Blackberry, etc. I went through the User Guide. I am just a grasshopper though.

reinstall the site as a quickstart installation ad you will have all the demo features, if you do not know how to install a JA quickstart just do a search on install quickstart to find the link.

Dear tfoster,

The backend settings of JA News moo as on the demo site are given here in the Userguide thread >> http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-helio-userguide/ . If you use the same settings, you shall get the demo site like looks.

If that doesnot help, please install the quickstart on your localhost and study the formatting of articles used, that shall help.
