OK….so am really really considering to become a club member….but have a question..

I have gone through the template demos…and there are things I like on one template that the other doesn’t have….eg. the JA-Tabs in the JA Teline template…..now if I were to become a member, would I be able to get ,let’s say, the JA Tab inserted into the JA Villadi template?….or even some help/instructions on how to do it

As I said to Ken, it requires customization which requires, time and knowledge. JA will be releasing standalone modules of things like ja tabs, ja header, news etc in the future. Maybe you are wise to wait.

The problem is there are so many templates options and ppl insist on destroying valid templates to put modules and search panels, change menus to silly positions, where they shouldn’t be, etc it gets messy and of course, no one will go to Joomlancers and pay 20 bucks to get it all done quickly.

But expect JA and community to do it all for them, just because they have a 3 mths membership, sometimes you get lucky, some ppl are coders and we all try to help, but not all have the skills or time to do it for you.

i don’t expect “JA and community to do it all for them, just because they have a 3 mths membership”

BUT i do expect to get what I see in the demo….which I have heard isn’t the case….and like I once read in one of the forum postings here where the poster compared it to false advertising..and said something like “buying a car…where the salesman shows u a model….but when you purchase it, he says here’s the basics of it…and to make it look like the car i showed u,u will have to build the rest yourself”

so this kinda deters me to join ……..and i dont think i am receiving any sort of reassurance….so maybe i will wait

qwerty: You can be rest assured we are taking many different measures to ensure that it looks as close to the demo as possible.

Our last 3 templates now have a quick start system, which has the exact same copy as our demo does.

What a lot of people fail to understand though, is that Joomla templates are hard to make look the same as there are many different customisation options.

My apologies if you thought I inferred you would expect the ja community to do your site for you, it was a generalized observation that a lot of ppl have higher expectations than is realistically possible due to (as MiCCAS points out ) the enormous potential with so many addon modules, plugins etc to foul the templates up.

leave the template as it is and they work fine try to put a menu where its not meant to be or radically change the design and you increase the chances of it failing was more what I meant

Hello:

Can somebody tell me if the Ja Moo Tabs comes with the Fagus template. If so, where are the instructions. I wrote a pre-sales question to JA and they did not write back. This is a bad sign. Not only can I get an answer, I can not find any instructions. I guess if I purchased anything here, I’m on my own.

You find the instructions on the sub forum for JA-Fagus on how t osest up the JA Moo Tabs. All needed info on how to set up the template is there.
