Did anyone upgrade to joomla 1.6 his halite template?
…i tried with com_jupgrade-0.5.0.zip and had no success…

Halite is not yet available for J1.6. Each template requires re-coding to work with J1.6 and as such you must use a Joomla 1.6 specific version for it to work. The upgrade component you mention just moves your data.

Do you have an estimated time when halite will be available for 1.6?

Nope, sorry, The plan is to do all the T3V2 powered template followed by the T3V1 templates. but when I cannot say as I only know the same time as you will.
