I read a blog some time ago that called Microsoft “an old battleship”. I thought that was a good analogy. Big and mean…slow and full of holes, and what was once the standard is now falling behind new technology and design.

You are not wrong, I use Firefox and Opera, Opera is, in my view the best, it just is not getting the browser share it should, criminal really.
But yes, Firefox does for me, I only keep going with IE versions because all computers are sold with it on board so we have to make the thing work.
An old battleship is about right.

Funny, I’ve only heard good things about Opera. Safari, too, for that matter. I’ve never tried either, although I’ve been meaning to give them both a go. Also haven’t tried Google Chrome, and I’ve heard good things about that as well.

I agree. MS try and set standards but end up just causing problems.

I was in their UK HQ last week and have seen how hard they are working to get Windows 7 right. I actually think for once they are releasing something good with that but it is hard with all the problems introduced over the years and with other parts of it such as IE8.

Give me a couple of days Brian, I will get back to you as soon as I find out how I did it.
The trouble is another joomlart member did it for me, using my ftp details.
I do know it was the .css style sheet that he edited but I didn’t bother to ask what he did !!!
Sounds mad I know.

I will try and compare the style sheets to the original, see if that helps us.
