Hello,

with JA Magz, we have a problem when we share a article on facebook.

The image isn’t the image in the article, but a other one…!
We have this problem for a lot of articles….

exemple with this article
http://www.micmag.be/belgique-la-fin-d-un-periple-le-debut-d-une-rencontre/depuis-la-banlieue-de-kinshasa-jusqu-aux-paroisses-d-anderlecht

But in this article, it is ok (show the right image in facebook)

How can we fix it quickly ?

I have de same problem, but get no imagen, only a generic image, likes there isnt image.
(If the image is with the article text, then its ok, but when used joomla image, then got the problem)

Hi

Facebook uses Open Graph meta tag for picking up image and display. If there is no info for tag / tag presents, it will take a random image from page.

You can use the debug tool from Facebook: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Enter the page you want to share on FB and hit ‘Debug’ button, it will report if there is any issue on that page

There are also some third party extensions that helps to add the open graph tags on JED .

When the image is in the thempate place, its when i got the facebook problem

An when its on article text, there is not problem, facebook get image without any incident

even there is the same problem when in the cellphone version with other component

I think there is a bug or a bad function. in JA Magz 2, no ?

@saguaros : the only way for you is to add a extension…?
Maybe, the constructive way is to find why this is happening, isn’t it ?

Hi

Twitter has its own set of tags and a bit different.

I’d like to suggest to use a Open Graph extension because its free and easy to control.

Tested free extension, Phoca Open Graph, Easy Open Graph, but the point its there is some truble on the template, because as i told before, if the image its on text, there is no problem, its come with the image on the tempalte position
