    hello

i bought ja_teline iv some months ago and i’m quite happy with it.

some weeks ago the updater stopped working properly. clicking on a detected update gives me back the message:

“Response from JoomlArt Updater Service: Your account does not have enough permission to take this action. Please contact “JoomlArt Updater Service” for more information or use another account.”

i’m 100% sure i updated the very same extensions before via the “JoomlArt Updates” service.
Obviously my credentials didn’t change and are correctly set up.

    Am i missing something?

Do the automatic updates somewhat expire?

    thank you

could you put in a support ticket for this please?
I’d like to take a closer look, but obviously a forum thread isn’t the place to be putting personal logins or information.
If you’d put in a support ticket we’ll take a look!

    is that true?

you have to renew (=continue paying forever) your membership in order to get security updates?

what if my website gets hacked for a bug in your code?

Yes this is true – and this was painfully obvious when you signed up as well 🙁
We are constantly improving our templates and extensions – adding new features, making code more efficient, squashing bugs, and more.
All that does cost money, it doesn’t just happen for free.
Joomlart provides all members with use of the template for life, there are no restrictions on using a template after an expired membership. But, as I mentioned, constant work on Joomlart extensions doesn’t just happen for free, so continued updates, features, upgrades, do come with a cost.
This is nothing new though, and nothing unique, you’ll find this with just about every software in the world!

Same problem, I’m in a valid subscription period but the backend says “Your account does not have enough permission to take this action. Please contact “JoomlArt Updater Service” for more information or use another account”. Please help!

I solved mine – I needed to go into the configuration of the update service and enter the correct credentials.

I am also getting “Response from JoomlArt Updater Service: Your account does not have enough permission to take this action. Please contact “JoomlArt Updater Service” for more information or use another account.” BUT I have input my login details (the same that I logged in with to make this posting) and I am still getting this frustrating message.

What do I need to do now?

A couple of posters in this thread we have fixed already. It turned out they were putting incorrect information in their services manager. Some have been putting in their email address while others have been putting in their joomla logins. You eed to enter the same login as you use to login to this forum. If you are still struggling then drop me a pm with a super admin account and your forum login details and I will check for you.

For those of you that are worried about security updates after their membership has expired this is the normal situation for all paid memberships from all subscription software. JA do however have a big bonus here in that after your membership has expired you can still update the JAT3 plugin which is where most of the work is done so all user do continue to get free updates after their membership has expired.

    Hi Dartinteractiva,

Did not you upgrade JA extensions via JA Extensions Manager?

    Regards,
