    Hey guys,

I have a really simple mod I wanted to do on an Ironis template that is turning out to be an absolute nightmare.

I want to have a facebook social icon on the ja-mainnav wrapper that sits BEHIND the ja-imageslider.

You can see what I mean here – http://redshiftwebdesign.com/ff/

I have played with Z-index’s for ages but I can’t get it to work. The problem lies in that the mainnav div must be z-indexed higher than the slider so that the drop down displays but I want to place a div where the mainnav div lies that must be z-indexed lower than the slider so the tail of the icon is hidden. If I place the facebook icon in the mainnav div then it displays over the top of the slider. If I place the facebook icon in the header and absolute position it low enough then the mainnav div sits over it and it’s unclickable.

Is there anyway around this ? I have been scratching my brain for hours.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello hilly,

“#ja-mainnav” is parent of FB icon, and “#ja-mainnav” has z-index greater than “#ja-slideshow”. So all “#ja-mainnav”‘s children are in front of “#ja-slideshow”.

You can put FB icon in a separated position and set its z-index to be greater than “#ja-slideshow”.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards.
