May 16, 2011 at 4:44 am #164050Using Joomla 1.6.0 and JA T3 1.0.3. Just added a 2-item menu to module in position-5 (r.h. column) and selected an image (16×16 PNG) for each menu item.
The menu images for both menu items are right up against the first char of each menu title with no space. What’s the trick to enable some space?
Thanks in advance.

May 17, 2011 at 11:11 am #391610Hi,
To fix it, open template.css and see if you can find styling for span.image-title
If you cant find it add span.image-title{padding-left :25px;}
Now to display image exactly on the same line as the text add ul.menu img{vertical-align:middle;}Hope this solves it.

May 17, 2011 at 2:21 pm #391639I appreciate your time for this semi-answer but it seems to me that if I am following exactly the guidelines in the documentation to simply add icons to menus, why in the heck should I have to hunt down and modify code in template.css? I call this a defect in the template. I paid for this with the expectation that the advertised features would mostly work “out of the box.”
Any employee of Joomlart care to respond?

May 18, 2011 at 7:50 am #391763Hi,
I checked the Teline template demo for joomla 1.6. Kindly note that your Resources module is a menu module same as Main Menu or About Joomla modules in the template demo, which do not have the images corresponding to each menu item.
The images corresponding to links are shown for Most Read & Latest News modules, displayed in JA Tabs. To know how to set those modules you can refer to http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/userguide-ja-teline-iii-for-joomla-2-5/
If you see such images applied to any menu module in this template, kindly let me know. I will check it again.

May 18, 2011 at 2:57 pm #391830Thanks for your reply. I see where some of my confusion originates: I’m using the JA T3 Blank template. As a paid member I assumed there would be a support forum for that template in the Members section. When I didn’t find one by that name, I figured JA Teline III was just long hand for JA T3. My bad. So now I see I should be posting in the public section for the JA T3 Blank template.
FWIW, menu icons are (apparently) suppported in the JA T3 Blank template since the option to specify them appears for menu items in non-megamenu menus. And, the menu item icons are displayed without spaces in both module menus as well as the Site Map module.

May 20, 2011 at 9:10 am #392087In joomla for every menu item you get the option to use an image, which displays the image in appropriate size but you need to do the other styling such as positioning the image, distance between the image and text etc..

May 21, 2011 at 1:21 am #392180Finally found the right CSS file and figured it out with your coding suggestion above. I just posted the full fix in the “JAT3 2.0 for Joomla 1.6” public forum.
Thanks much for your help.
