JoomlArt’s all time greatest template JA Teline III is now upgraded to run on the latest JAT3 Framework, although the design stays the same, the code structure has been totally shifted to the new engine, we decided to give it a new name JA Teline III V2.
This is one of the tasks the team is working on behind the scene right now. Besides the regular monthly template releases, we have started upgrading all templates that are released after August 2009 to the latest version for JAT3 Framework.
Is it an updated version or a new template?
An update of an existing old version won’t be available. It will be a totally new version of the template and can be understood as a new template. No migration possible from old Teline III, it has to be reinstalled and configured along with the plugins and modules, which also have undergone upgrade to work on T3 V2 framework.
What templates will be upgraded?
We will start with most favored templates first based on total downloads and discussion intensity in the forums, one by one. Not all templates will be upgraded though, we will keep you current about the list of completed templates.
How long will it take?
The upgrade process is quite time consuming so we have not been able to estimate a more strict schedule. However, we plan to upgrade about 2 templates every month.
How about Joomla 1.6 compatibility?
This is an interesting point, we will roll out a Joomla 1.6 version for all of the upgraded templates. So it won’t take long wait for JA Teline III to be Joomla1.6-ready once upgraded to JAT3 version 2. Although Joomla 1.6 is still in beta, if you are planning a Joomla 1.6 project, JoomlArt is prepared to offer you fully functional Joomla 1.6 templates.
