I have removed all content from gk_decor\html\layouts\joomla\content\info_block\publish_date.php and it removed the date and some of the white space above it, which I like. I'm just not sure if that's the correct thing to do or if I should even leave it like that. Will it be overridden during a template update?

ofisboy2 Will it be overridden during a template update?

    Yes it will be

Ughhh, I am doing something terribly wrong because it's not working for me at all. Does the "local" folder exist already somewhere or do I create it? I've tried creating a local folder at root and all subfolders within and that didn't work. I've also created a local folder at /public_html/templates/gk_decor/html/layouts/joomla/content/local and that didn't work either. Where am I going wrong? You have my ftp info. If possible, would you please take a look? I am hopelessly lost.

      Hi
It seems there is misunderstanding with the template name.
The local folder is used on JA Decor, as you have GK template it will not work.

I tested the Featured article Menu on GK decor and the options to Hide dates is working fine,
You can hide the dates from Menu options : http://prntscr.com/nnrohr http://prntscr.com/nnrotd
If any issue, kindly provide a temp super user login details of site in edit fields first post.
      I will check it.

I'm so sorry. I didn't realize I mentioned the wrong template. Yes, I'm using GK-Decor rather than JA-Decor. And thanks a million for the instructions on removing the date. I knew it would be something simple that I just couldn't find. Thanks again for all your help.

Oops, I spoke too soon. I have all of those set to "hide" and that date is still there. Attached is my screen shot.

        Hi,

I can't access your site now, try to whitelist IP addresses from Italy, Poland, Vietnam, India.

And share the admin account also.

        22 days later

I have it hidden behind an index.htm. Test site url is somehandbags.com/index.php. The admin credentials are somehandbags.com/administrator and the login credentials are in the links above. And, I also don't have any country's IP blocked.

ofisboy2 How do I give you acces to the admin account without everyone seeing the login credentials?

Take a look HERE Point-5 to see how to keep your info Private

My apologies. Yes, I had edited that area so it should be up to date now.
