Hi,

Regarding your issues:

  • please check the following article: https://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/john/index.php/typography/template-features (Menu features section). In you template settings -> Menu tab you can add IDs like blog or my-works to selected module position.

  • the header module should be fine now. I've added frontpage frontpage-header1 suffixes (template otpions -> Features tab) to your frontpage. If it's still not correct, please disable TinyMCE editor for your user and add the original header code again.

  • It would be much easier to install the quickstart package (joomla with modules, plugins, template, contend preconfigured) - in this case you'll have the same website like on our demo (only images are replaced), then you would remove unnecessary modules, edit other content etc.
Did you notice any error during News Show Pro installation?

Cheers
Joshua

Hi, thanks I still have trouble to change the image for the header now. It stays dark gray.
Problem is with the quickstart I have to re-install the whole website.
Here I doing it for a new website, but I planned to update my old website with some of your new
work (with my own account ofc), I'm honestly considering that.

No error during News Show Pro installation, I was install successfully apparently.

Hi Axel,
It should be fine now (I've disabled your visual editor, because additional <p> paragraph tags were added and messed up the layout).

Regarding the News Show Pro - could you edit this thread fields and add also FTP access? Then I'll be able to check the issue.

Cheers
Joshua

I updated the fields. Thank you but isn't that possible to disable the visual editor only for one module?
Because right now it disable on all the admin. I am not a programmer and people that will use the website have no experience at all in it so the will need the visual editor.

Okay I'll see that. Did you have any info about the News Pro 5 module?

Hi, I read the article and download the "new" 1.9.6 in the member section but it seems
it's the same as the old one since I still have the same problem and it's written updated
on June, 12th as the old one.

Here what I have when I install it:

And what is in the module when I create one:

aman204 changed the title to Same page url trouble/ GK News Pro module.

arcame As apparently seen, The issue relates to K2 component error which is being shown when opening specific module in module manager. K2 component might have been installed in the past and not removed correctly

In initial stage, The specific module is configured to pull data from k2 categories

You may try the solution provided here and try remove all the references manually through ftp client for K2 component

Kindly ensure to take backup of your site before performing this step so as to rollback in case required

      Hi,
Problem is I never installed K2 component on this website. Do I have to install it for the GK News Pro?
Because the error you've linked is related to K2 and since I didn't installed it, I can't do this solution.

      Axel

arcame Kindly check now as there were instances of K2 component directories :

        administrator/components/com_k2
        components/com_k2

which I have renamed for now and the module configuration layout appears fine now. Ref: Screenshot

Okay it works now, thanks. I don't understand how it is possible that K2 component could be found.
Thanks to everyone for the help. I hope I won't encounter other issues.

        Best,
        Axel

arcame Thanks for updating on the same
