Make jomsocial II theme look like demo

I purchase JomSocial and installed JA Social II Template and it just looks like a sales page for Ja Social. I wanted it to look like facebook in a way that just has a login/register page to start and then a great backend.
I followed the instructions as best I could, but nothing is working.

What did I do wrong and where would I start to make this work?

How do I get the LOGIN for the site on the Front Page?

Also, when I go into Configuration>Templates ja_social II cannot be chosen and it won't upload there, says invalid template file.

JA Social II is a Joomla template.
In JomSocial > config. > Templates it only allow JomSocial themes.

Since you already using JA Social ii template it has the JomSocial style in it. You can follow this documentation to make it like in demo site : https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-social-ii#homepage

I have followed those instructions and it does not look like the template at all. It looks like an ad page for jomsocial.

I put the login page and I hit register - it says 404 not found. social\register is not found.

Shouldn't this work after installation?

submit a temp super user login for staff and let me know which module does not appear like as in the demo site after your configuration in the backend as in doc.

I was able to get the login and register up on content-mass-top, but register is a 404 and login is 404.

I don't want anything under this opening page to show, no Romances Fans, no We are No. 1, no footers, nothing but a login screen to register or login.

Everything is a 404!

you disabled the Jomsocial menu
I also found module suffix is missing the Hello me module

Your site also have social folder in root and jomsocial also using same alias so it make issue. kindly remove that to use Jomsocial page.

I don't understand that you are saying the social folder is in root? I can move anything, but I don't see any social folder.

How do I remove all the rest of the front page? I only want login and register there.

You can unpublish the other module that you do not want to show.
Social folder your site has a social folder or file that is why it open this page https://liberty342.com/social
It is not from template side.

Where did that social folder come from? It does not exist on my server.

Um, no it is not, as you see it is a 404 page. liberty342.com is the regular site. I don't know why the software picked this missing social folder.

How do I get it to look at it's folders to register and login and use it??

i am not sure as it can be custom from your side and not part of the template.
You can check the site folder and remove the social folder if you not added it.

There is no "social" folder on my server. Where would the custom setting be set? I did nothing except run the jomsocial quickstart!

I am so sorry, I don't see it working. From the home page, I click register and it goes to a 404 page here

If I use the admin account and try to log in, it is another 404 page

That is what I am trying to tell you, there is no "social" folder on my site. That is why it is 404.

There is nothing to delete. It does not exist. The links that came from the template goes to these "social/" pages.

All toolbar menu item in JS Toolbar will load under frontpage menu item only if there placed in JS Toolbar.
