delete old chat message and big Tables with old data

Before suggestion may i know the Jomsocial version you are using?
as in new version Message setting we have option to delete chat after a time you will set on the backend.

If you want to delete all message at once it can be from clear DB message table. About making all new please share more info as all users DB deletion will delete Jomsocial data.

Then Can I delete ndayo_community_chat_activity TABLE? And which is the other TABLE that I can delete to resize the database?

Do not delete as delete table means you are removing it from site and no new message will come as table not exist, just empty that.
I truncate it right?

I did not get what you want to say in last post. Could you share the results if you not delete and only empty the data?
As Delete means you are deleted complete table that should not be done.
Hi I hd truncate the table ndayo_community_chat_activity. As result I don't see messagge but I have a big problem.
I have all old chat present but empty. A red write say 102, that is all the old chat. I think there is somethings to put a zero, the counter of user chat. I need to reset other table.

We have added an option to mark all as read for users who not read message to remove the notifications.
Click on the inbox message icon and mark all as read.
