Hello working on upgrading our joomla site to 3.5 or 4, and haven't had success. I recently installed a new clean version of Joomla 4.1.x and have been able to copy the content table and category tables over, as well as menu and assets.

I was excited, but it was short lived it took me quite a while to realize I needed to create the workflows. So fantastic got that set up and now I can see articles in correct categories on the backend!!

But on the front end the menu button's are still telling me that those categories don't have any articles published in them... is there anywhere in particular you could point me on the Database tables to get this so that it's talking/working???

I have searched the forums quite a bit, and googled for hours with no luck.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!!

PHP 7.4 and Gavick News 2 template...

    Hi captkirk

Could you check with default Joomla template - Cassiopeia and see whether articles show there or not?

Thank you for the reply, I tried that and they don't show on that template either. It still says no published items from the front end, even though the backend shows numerous articles published in that category. I'm thinking there must need to be another connection made between tables in the database to connect the items... But I'm missing it...

captkirk I guess the problem from your migration only, not template issue. Kindly check again.

And you can also post a question in Joomla forum for help on this.

saguaros Thank you for your help. I couldn't figure it out. But I was FINALLY able to get migrated so that resolved my issue. Next issue will be adding back in the News 2 template from Gavick.
