The template is updated to latest version, if there is custom work it would be override in update, i suggest you to restore the backup of site and share a staging site details where we can replace the file to check the cause of issue.

                ooh okay, didn't understand it.. I will create one, need to go to work now, I have to do that later today.

                  sorry didn't know what a staging site was, I don't have it and can't make a staging site. Is it ok to make a demo site in a subfolder?

                    You can install site replicate on subfolder and assign a subdomain to it, submit the new site details in first post > edit fields section and inform me here.

                            I saw there was an update for vertex and installed it the update, after I updated it the problem came back and I needed to change it again, Do I have to change it now after every update? And how is it possible that it change this way?
