I got the email of the unified login today. As a old Gavick user with a lifetime subscription I was expecting to download the updated files since the support was lasting for at least a half year or something (information is completely gone already).
I can't do anything! My feeling is that Joomlart is doing his best to kick us in the paying direction. I hope that someone can tell what is the case ....

You now have two accounts as you have used different emails on Joomlart and Gavick. The merge of accounts happen only if the email is same.
Jumping to conclusion that we have sinister plans is not right. Information about how the accounts are merged is already on the blog posts of Joomlart and gavick. One need to read the information carefully.
There are bound to be issues when something on this scale is carried out.
Vivacomputers is JoomlArt username and vivacomputers1 username is your gavick lifetime access.
Login with vivacomputers1 as username and password is same as your gavick password.
Will merge these two accounts but you need to open a ticket in the helpdesk and confirm, which email you wish to keep in the system.
Dont jump to conclusions.
If the email is same during migration, then only the membership info is imported.
If the emails are different but username is already in the system, the number suffix is added to it.
Open a ticket and provide more info please. Where are you not able to login? You are already logged into the new system.

I had bought a Gavick lifetime support package just before Xmas 2017 and now I cannot access Templates and files when I log into this new system.
It also says that I am a "Free" User? WHAT THE???

goerge-goris This is simply a misunderstanding since you have 2 different account. One account is free (the one you're using to post here) and one has Gavick Dev membership.
This is the account with Dev membership :

- Email : george.goris@hotmail.com
You can choose to reset password if necessary.

digitalmaster Our system does not use License number anymore.
To have the latest version, please go to https://member.joomlart.com/downloads to download the files and install manually (Remember to backup first before you install latest version just in case).
We will find a new way to add one click update in next release.
